OverView

The EditorLite application provides a fast, convenient method of entering information which can then be printed in a large or small font. Entered text is automatically saved between sessions.

The EZReader File Editor can perform the same function, but requires that the user go through the steps to create and save a file - steps not required with EditorLite

EditorLite Main Screen

The main screen consists simply of the toolbar and a single textbox in which the user enters text. Content typed into EditorLite automatically saved and then displayed when EditorLite starts again.

The toolbar icons provide the following functions:

Row 1 Icons

Exit - exit the application
Clear - clear the screen
Copy - copy all content to the clipboard
Paste - paste at caret
Spell - spell check entire document, underline misspelled words
Suggest - suggest spelling for highlighted word
Dictate - speak text into editor
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 2 Icons

Exit - exit the application
File 1 - display file 1
File 2 - display file 2
File 3 - display file 3
Large - print using the current large font
Small - print using a smaller font (18pt)
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 3 Icons

Exit - exit the application
Play - read the file out loud, starting at the current selection
Louder - increase volume
Softer - decrease volume
Speed - change the speaking speed
Gender - toggles the voice gender
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 4 Icons

Exit - exit the application
OSK - on-screen keyboard
Larger - increase font size (no upper limit)
Smaller - decrease font size (minimum 8 pt)
Bold - toggle bold font
Font - toggle font (Tahoma, Courier New, Times New Roman)
Color - change colors (4 color pairs)
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 5 Icons

Exit - exit the application
Save - save text (formatting applies only to saved text)
Clear - remove all formatting
Case - toggle upper case
Under - underline current line
Space - wide spacing (between letters)
Line - vertical spacing
Menu - display next row of icons

Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts are available within all EZReader applications by pressing F1 or right-clicking on the Exit button.
